Interest on government debt more than doubled in a year.

The BBC is reporting that (Tory) government borrowing is hitting new highs. This is from the party that claimed to be the most responsible and slapped us with years of austerity measures to bring borrowing down.

The economy is crashing due to the Tories and now they have no idea what to do.

Government borrowing hit a new high in December, driven by the cost of supporting households with their energy bills and rising debt interest costs.

Borrowing, the difference between spending and tax income, was ÂŁ27.4bn, the most for any December since records began in 1993.

Interest on government debt hit ÂŁ17.3bn, more than doubling in a year.
