Is Suella Braverman using far-right language about the migrant crisis?
Home Secretary Suella Braverman has called the migrant crisis ‘an invasion on our Southern coast’ during a dangerous and incendiary speech on Monday.
She called refugees “an invasion” while doubling down on her commitment to fly people the Tories don’t want in the UK to Rwanda. After all, passing the vulnerable to Africa is good while France letting them come here is bad – so say the Tories.
Remember the system that Braverman called out was put in place by her own party. The Tory Government is asleep at the wheel on immigration.
Liz Truss phone hack claim prompts calls for investigation
The government has been urged to open an investigation into claims former prime minister Liz Truss’s phone was hacked while she was foreign secretary.
The Mail on Sunday reported private messages between Ms Truss and foreign officials, including about the Ukraine war, fell into foreign hands.
The hack was discovered during the summer Tory leadership campaign but the news was suppressed, the paper said.

According to the BBC, this Tory government has failed to collect any taxes from Shell despite their record profits.
The energy giant said global profits reached $9.5bn (ÂŁ8.2bn) between July and September, compared to $4.2bn during the same period last year.
